Infiniti 2003 - 2006 G35 Navigation In Motion

This is an extremely easy modification. It is designed with novices in mind. Take your time and read through this guide, then go and perform the modification.

Additional materials needed:
- a double pole double throw switch (DPDT) (radioshack)
- some extra 16 gauge wire (also radioshack)


1) Take off the glove box
I. Removing the glove compartment:
a) Remove the lower panel below the glove compartment by pulling it down. No screws here, just two metal tabs on each side of the panel.
b) Open the glove compartment, unscrew 4 screws on top and then look under the compartment to find 1 more screw on the side near the center console.
c) Carefully pull the glove compartment down and out starting from the side closer to the center console.

2) Locate 3 multi-wire plugs that plug into the back of the DVD Rom.


3) Remove the one farthest toward the passenger side. It will have a white/Green wire.

4) Cut that wire and attach some additional wire to each end of the cut wire( this additional wire will be used for the switch). Now, run these 2 wires to a switch.

5) Put everything back together and your done!!!


6) When you want to program while driving, just flip the switch, program away, then flip the switch back. While the switch is off, it will lose you position on the road, since the car will think you are no longer moving, but as soon as you turn it back on it will find you again right away.
